Capitulation in Courland

May 9th on the roads of Courland.

Colonel-General Hilpert of Army Group Courland arrived at the HQ of the Leningrad Front after signing the unconditional surrender.

Front Commander Marshal of the Soviet Union comrade Govorov interrogates German General of the Mountain Forces Volckamer.

The Germans put down their arms, raised a white flag, and asked for surrender.

  1. Total is 11862 not 1862. Strange that the document says 0 tanks when the pictures show dozens of them. Did they belong to a differentiation.
