The two "Es" OTOH were basically just improved, modernised and rationalised Panther and Tiger II - certainly bulky for their intented classes by the standards of the day, as now tended to be the case with mid- and late-war German designs, but hardly breaking any new ground there.
And near as I know neither of those two was unusually vulnerable to air attacks so eh.Kellomieshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04915110653443066212noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5030145265861917845.post-22096036747359683182019-05-31T19:30:09.330-04:002019-05-31T19:30:09.330-04:00As absurd as those fantasies were, they had one fa...As absurd as those fantasies were, they had one fan. The big stuff they were *seriously* looking into (eg. E-50 & E-75) was not markedly more massive than what they had been already fielding for some time - though given they were running 45-ton "medium" tanks their calibrations and sense of scale were definitely a bit off...Kellomieshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04915110653443066212noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5030145265861917845.post-78514798574730409202019-05-31T09:09:39.202-04:002019-05-31T09:09:39.202-04:00Tanks were not easy targets during ww2, no matter ...Tanks were not easy targets during ww2, no matter how large. While not multi turreted they tended to suffer from being so large that taking advantage of terrain was impossible. Dare I say they would of been easy targets for planes.
Sager ,William A.https://www.blogger.com/profile/06830369127449299646noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5030145265861917845.post-10228254641683533932019-05-30T13:42:56.358-04:002019-05-30T13:42:56.358-04:00Harsh but not particularly exaggerated; the Soviet...Harsh but not particularly exaggerated; the Soviets essentially agreed.Kellomieshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04915110653443066212noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5030145265861917845.post-57583038177874317742019-05-30T08:12:50.567-04:002019-05-30T08:12:50.567-04:00Now I'd really love to see the German original...Now I'd really love to see the German original...
